Method

  1. 1.Bring the orange juice to the boil.
  2. 2.Add the jelly powder and stir until dissolved.
  3. 3.Beat the egg yolks, sugar and custard powder.
  4. 4.Slake with a little of the hot liquid.
  5. 5.Pour into the simmering juice and jelly.
  6. 6.Bring back to the boil, stirring all the while.
  7. 7.Should thicken sufficiently to coat the back of a spoon.
  8. 8.Cool.
  9. 9.Beat egg whites until stiff.
  10. 10.FOLD the cooled orange mixture into the beaten whites.
  11. 11.Pour into a pretty glass bowl and put in fridge to set.
