Ingredients

Method

  1. 1.Slice a 'lid' off each apple.
  2. 2.Core apples — be careful not to pierce the bottom.
  3. 3.Put a teaspoon of syrup into bottom of apple.
  4. 4.Fill rest of hole with sugar.
  5. 5.Put back 'lid'.
  6. 6.Put into a baking dish filled ¾ way with slightly sweetened water.
  7. 7.Bake in a moderate oven until soft.
  8. 8.These apples must be watched and basted often.
  9. 9.Serve at room temperature.
