Stewed Apples

Ingredients

• 1.apples, peeled, cored, cut into eighths
• 2.water, cold; to cover
• 3.sugar, to taste
• 4.lemon juice, to taste; add before chilling

Method

1. 1.Peel, core and cut apples into eighths.
2. 2.Cover with cold water.
3. 3.Add sugar to taste and stew gently till just beginning to fall apart.
4. 4.Add a little lemon juice to taste and set aside to chill.
