Cotton Country Prawns

Ingredients
- 1.2 kilogram prawns, deveined; shells left on
- 2.15 millilitre Worcestershire sauce
- 3.15 millilitre soya sauce
- 4.Tabasco sauce, a good dash
- 5.black pepper, a good sprinkling
- 6.2.5 millilitre Lawry's seasoned salt
- 7.2.5 millilitre Lawry's Pinch of Herbs
- 8.2.5 millilitre paprika
- 9.4 garlic, crushed
- 10.125 millilitre lemon juice
- 11.500 millilitre Italian dressing, 2 standard bottles
- 12.500 gram butter, finely diced; sprinkled on top
Method
- 1.Mix all ingredients except the butter and pour over the prawns.
- 2.Fine dice the butter and sprinkle on top of the prawns.
- 3.Bake, uncovered, in a 300°F (160°C) oven for 30–40 minutes.
- 4.Serve with plenty of garlic bread to mop up the sauce.
Notes
- The beauty of this dish is that once it is in the oven, one can forget about it.
- Can also be cooked on top of the stove — cook only 20 minutes and watch!
- If using an electric frying pan, cover and cook on low for about 35 minutes.
- For 1 kg prawns use: ½ the butter, 1 bottle of Italian dressing, all the lemon juice, the rest the same.
