Method

  1. 1.Butter the 26 cm pie dish.
  2. 2.Lay the unsweetened pie apples down in the dish.
  3. 3.Sprinkle the sultanas over the apples.
  4. 4.TOPPING: Mix flour and sugar together with a fork. Beat egg and add to the flour and sugar mixture. Mix until crumbly. Sprinkle over apples.
  5. 5.Pour over the melted butter carefully and evenly.
  6. 6.Bake in a 200°C/400°F oven until golden.
  7. 7.The tart will begin to bubble but will settle down.
