Ingredients
- 1.gefilte fish mixture (raw), use raw, uncooked mixture — see Gefilte Fish recipe
- 2.oil, hot; for frying
Method
- 1.Shape the raw gefilte fish mixture into flat balls.
- 2.Fry in hot oil — do not use egg or bread crumbs to coat.
- 3.Drain on brown paper.
Notes
- This is a quick frying variation of gefilte fish — the same raw mixture is shaped into patties and pan-fried rather than poached.
- The original card title reads 'FOSH FROCAUELLES' — interpreted as 'Fish Fricadelles' (South African fish patties).
