Method

  1. 1.Soak 2 herrings. Fillet and cut into slices.
  2. 2.Cover with some sliced onion rings.
  3. 3.Add 2–3 bayleaves and a few peppercorns.
  4. 4.Pour over a good quality oil to cover.
  5. 5.Eat the next day.
  6. 6.Keeps for two weeks.
