Tomato Salad

Ingredients
- 1.1 kilogram tomatoes, ripe and firm; peeled or unpeeled; sliced
- 2.1 onion, medium; peeled and finely chopped
- 3.90 millilitre French dressing, see french-dressing.yaml; about 6 tablespoons
- 4.7.5 millilitre parsley, chopped; for garnish
Method
- 1.If you wish to peel the tomatoes: plunge into boiling water for 2–3 minutes. The skins will peel off easily.
- 2.Cut tomatoes into slices. Peel and finely chop the onion.
- 3.Arrange the tomatoes in layers in a serving dish, sprinkling each layer with onion.
- 4.Spoon over the French dressing and sprinkle with the chopped parsley before serving.
Notes
- May be served peeled or unpeeled according to taste.
