Ingredients
- 1.onions, sliced into rings
- 2.water, sweetened with sugar; enough to cover onion rings
- 3.plain flour, for coating
- 4.oil, for deep frying
Method
- 1.Slice the onions into rings.
- 2.Cover with sugared water and refrigerate for a few hours.
- 3.Drain and dry on paper towels.
- 4.Shake in flour and fry in deep oil.
Notes
- The sweet-water soak mellows the onions and helps the flour coating adhere.
